WOW!!!

it's quite comfortable, but bulky when I use flash. Nowadays, I dont use flash at all, will get a photo up during lunch, along with the home depot setup.

my most current setup, 40/100/200 with two bodies, no more flashes. It's heavy, but I'm ok and dont need the suspenders even though I do have the lowepro suspenders. I forego suspenders to keep bulk down, however, with factory belt, I would definitely wear suspenders, as the original belt is JUNK.

I just met a woman that was shooting with a Spider Pro holster system;

http://www.bhphotovideo.com …&InitialSearch=yes&sts=pi (external link)

http://www.bhphotovideo.com …_System.html/prm/alsVwDtl (external link)

She loved it.

It's not exactly what you are looking at,. but maybe you were like me and are unaware of this kind of rig? You may want to consider this aspect of the system to add to a belt rig.

So not just Batman, but also Cowboy two gun kid!

I love my Spiderholsters, the Belt - not so much.

i took the clips off the supplied belt, added another little bit that was supplied with them, and wear the clips on my everyday "the Wilderness" riggers belt (a stiff 1.5" nylon gunbelt)
Carries a pair of 1DX (with 70-200 and 24-70) easily, they don't swing into stuff, my shoulders no longer hurt after a long day, and i no longer fight with straps slipping off my shoulders - i do keep my Blackrapid around though, for working at height and around water.

will try and get a pic next time i am at the office

suspenders.

i have that belt as well and it won't hold because there is no way to tighten it by circumference.

belts been too cumbersome for most jobs.

now i just use a sturdy leather belt, 1 long lens pouch, 1 canon camera pouch, 1 short lens pouch, and i have pro capture clip on belt as well..

much more efficient and cleaner than the lowerpro

will sell mine if anyone is interested.

i would have opted for the spider holsters over the capture pro clip but you can't place it down without the camera being on its side or so.

Never been an issue for me, i have always put my cameras down on their left hand side, it means the grip is up when i go to grab them - even before switching to the spiderholster.

If you put 2x spiderpins per plate, it will sit flat, on both pins and lenshood (may not be a good idea on some of the cheaper lenses though - like the 50mm f1.8)

It just depends on how much you load it but the shoulder harness makes it much better for me. I try to be judicious with what I carry around. Just because you can does not mean you should. Also the harness makes it so you don't even need to have it super tight around your waist.

I really like the thinktank with harness and camera straps. The largest lens pouch will even take the tamron 150-600. VERY comfortable.

the buckle that comes with the lowepro belt is horrendous. You wont be able to cinch it tight around your waist, hence the reason I modded it with the flybuckle. I have the harness, but even without it, I did an all day trip to the zoo, no harness, and lots of gear.

as for spider holster and the like devices, I chose to forego them due to the tripod mount issues. I use L brackets, and certainly dont want anything in place of them. I would like to try the thinktank versions, but pricing too high, and they didnt offer a vest from what I recall. Not a big fan of their tongue system as it seems too proprietary, you can find inexpensive cases by "safrotto" on ebay to get setup on the cheap. Not as high quality as lowepro/thinktank, but gets the job done.

you could try one of these :)

mounts to the L plate, instead of the bottom of the camera

I don't use a tripod much, but i am slowly moving from the Manfrotto RC2 system to Arca compatible
when i finally replace the head on my big tripod, i will get a pair of the Arca adapters for spider holster (a small arca plate that mounts to the two 1/4-20 holes next to the camera mounting bolt)

damn nice clamp. Unfortunately, I dont recall it being around when I first got into belt systems. Secondly, I started shooting a 200/2, which is rather large. Not sure how that would work out, but interested for sure.

With the belts my wife has observed that how big your hips are makes a big difference on how well it stays up. I guess the question is actually the difference between your waist and hips. For me, I need the shoulder harness.

yea the 200f2 is a big beasty - anything bigger than a 70-200 and i carry it on a strap with the lenses strap lugs.

Im not sure i would completely trust the Spider Arca Clamp, it coming loose and dropping the camera really worries me.

Just ordered the ThinkTank Pro Speed Belt and ThinkTank Speed Changer today. Couldn't really decide between the Lowepro system and Thinktank...both look great. I just liked the Speed Changer bag better...first review said it fit their 135L and 24-105L perfectly...which is exactly what I will probably put in there.
