Shot4u2, those are superb. What a variety of fungi you've found, and in the off season!

Thank you! There is a lot more around, but they weren't worthy of a pic. The humidity and rain hasn't let up, neither has the fungus.

This one is growing all down the side of a tree. Have not seen anything like it before.

Not sure what I stumbled across at the base of a pine tree. We were camping in the San Juan Mountains in Colorado.

Can anyone tell me the name of this particular mushroom? I shot this last autumn in Yosemite Valley.

This mass of yellow stuff may be a slime mold. I found it this morning, oozing through a ventilation slot near the bottom of the compost bin. It connects to a smaller quantity of the same material inside the bin. The mass is 8 inches (11 cm) wide.

Another photo, taken this afternoon, when the yellow stuff had started to dry out. I lifted off a bit of its surface and found that the interior was black.

By that time, the outside of the yellow layer was very low in density. When disturbed, it flaked into small particles that dispersed easily in air. Whatever this is, it grows as fast as a fungus. It appeared literally overnight.
