Now this should make everyone confused! lol. I had scrap vinyl so I striped over the red rings and also made a cover for the model lettering.

If anyone should ask, just tell 'em that red-ring users are a bunch of snapshooting amateurs. You have to be a real pro to use a green-ring lens.

I can't lie. I would be EXTREMELY confused if I saw you out on the street shooting with this! And to have the model name blacked out as well?! I would think you were a prototype tester for Canon

I got the idea to do this because I noticed that whenever you are shooting in public, other photogs will always try to look at what equipment you are using and comment about it. I thought it might be funny to throw them off a bit.

Well, if they're Canon users, they'll assume you have all DO lenses; if you want to confuse things, you need to use blue, orange, or purple rather than green. If they use any other brand, they won't even react to the odd colour.

Haha, I did think of that too, even though the DO green is a darker green instead of the lime green. Maybe I'll try a teal color next..

Hah interesting!

If I saw that, I would probably wonder if they were knock-offs being peddled as Canon from ebay or something.

I like it. I tape up all my stuff so that names and numbers are not seen. I just prefer the anonymous look.

Very best,
