It was a great camera, but I was young and foolish and needed money, lol!

Maybe someone out there with an F-1 can give it a home....

Just getting back into it..

F-1 was (is) and incredible camera. Interchangeable viewfinder, interchangeable back, high speed motor drive, interchangeable focus screens and a removable hot shoe - good stuff.

You are thinking of the F1n. The manual is for it's predecessor.

No, if i remember correctly (and that happens less and less often) the original F1 had all of the same options. I had both.

Original F-1 didn't have a hot shoe, didn't have a shoe at all, just a spot on the rewind crank mount to use a flash coupler. I still have my F-1 classic.

Hello folks!

The camaraderie in here warms my heart. For me, this site has always been a trusted resource for gear and advice, and this thread is no exception.

With that being said, I have 3 4g CF cards, and 1 2g CF card I am willing to part with. Please do not be greedy, I will only send out one card per person.

I'll update this post when all cards have been given out.

Quick question - do the giveaway rules state that it has to be first-come-first-served?

The rule was you couldn't accept a gift until you gave one away but everyone just ignored it. so it's pretty much whatever you want at the moment.

Give it to whoever you think would need it the most, give it to someone you like, etc.. Up to you.

I have a gripped 7d Mark 2 that needs a new home. Camera and grip are in excellent condition with no nicks, dents, dings or other imperfections. Less than 6 months old with about 5k clicks. Not first-come-first served. PLEASE NOT FOR RESALE. PM please, do not respond here. I do have feelers out locally.

If it was for real, I will take it and then donate my current to the local school.. However, I got the feeling the 7D is in the wrong section

I can confirm that Gary has been very generous, indeed! I got a wonderful Canon Speedlite 550 EX from Gary and it's working like a charm :)
