This is how we do it in Canada. Annual dock party last Sunday. It was over 32 Celsius the previous Monday and it dropped like a rock by that day but we are tough.

7D2 and 100-400 VII. Shot from my dock and I joined them later.

QUOTED IMAGE

These are the chainsaws Stihl sends to Canada :-) I cropped this shot a bit.

QUOTED IMAGE

We used it to build a Tiki Bar. The fellow in the red shorts has his hand on it. I helped the owner of the dock who found an old dead tree on a river and we cut two 6" thick slabs for the table top. Each piece was 51" in diameter.

QUOTED IMAGE

The fellow in the white jacket holding up the cup was the 3rd guy on the job.

Played around a bit

From the looks of things its pretty much Honda 4 strokes. Did notice 1 e-tech (good motor). Does Lund pretty much dominate in your area? Seems like they are very popular the further north you go.

Nice pictures by the way....

Yes Lund dominates but there is a mix of outboards. There were a lot of visitors that brought boats on the long weekend. Quite a few e-techs and there is a 50 hp on my 16 ft lund. Wicked motor. When lying in bed at 6:00 am I can tell who is going fishing by the sound of the motor :-)

I just purchased a Suzuki 20 hp 4 stroke for my 14 ft lund that I use for shallow creeks and back lakes. First Suzuki on the lake. I would have purchased an e tech but the 25 was 150 pounds. Next one down was a 15 but it was not EFI. The Suzuki is 104 lbs and the only EFI in that class that does not require a battery. I need light for that application. That is what I took to join the group for a cocktail or 2. I took those shots off my dock.

Not as much power with the Suzuki (you can't beat a 2 stroke) but I only need to get to that far bay to follow a shallow creek into one of the lakes I fish. I use the 16 for the big lake. Every time I throttle up it puts my buddy back into the seat and blows in away

Really like this - it's just a tiny bit too dark, for me, to be perfect. I had to look up where Rattray Head is - I hear it mentioned on the extended Shipping Forecast every night and never knew where it was. Now I know, so thanks for the education too. Are you from that area?

Okay, I'm back in my comfort zone shooting sports. I went to one of McNeese's preseason practice on Sunday. It was at 4:30 and shooting conditions weren't very good as it was a very bright sunshiny day and the temperature was right at 100 degrees.

Here are a few photos:
