Solid set. I love shooting soccer when it rains.

Cheers mate, Sport in the rain just adds a little more impact.
Hoping to get a 7d2 in the near future so I can push the low light shooting just a little.

Nice work, I bet you had a blast shooting the games. :)

I had my heart set on shooting the Women's World Cup that is currently being held in my neck of the woods but circumstances have changed so I just watch on the TV instead.

Yeah it was awesome, there's this little issue common to Kiwis where it's either Rugby or Football not both and I've always been a Rugby man, but after shooting this WC I am now much more appreciative of the fitness and agility of soccer players.

Hi!
First post from hobby photographer from Finland. Shot from U10 soccer tournament.
Sorry about that I am going through personal vignetting and vibrancy period. :-)

Greets MPI!

Don't mind the vignetting or the vibrancy BUT, if the is one thing that gets me, and will really improve you photograph, its the horizon. It is way off. Square it up and you will have a much better image.

It's been a very long time since I've posted. Here are a few from the NASL match last week in Indianapolis.

I feel a bit foolish even sharing these...some great photos have already been shared, I'm not sure mine deserve a spot with the quality I've already seen.

But, it's my first photo contribution...gotta start somewhere I guess. Feedback is welcome. Be gentle :-)

These are from the stands of the Pittsburgh Riverhounds vs Louisville City FC this past Saturday. I'd like to get some sideline credentials to have a little better opportunity...but I have no idea how that even works.

My local St Louis FC team has a 6" lens limit. Pretty much means anything with any reach is out. I did think about buying a 70-300 and throwing it on my 70D to see what I could get but mostly I'm annoyed at the limit. I'm sure it's so they don't have people selling photos etc. The limits at Fair St Louis were even worse…no interchangeable lenses.

There's no restrictions (or at least restrictions that are enforced) in Pittsburgh. I'd like to shoot from the far side of the field next time to see how it looks shooting toward the stands.

Of course, I'll need someone to watch my 5 year old :-)

It all came down to the 10fps of the 7D2......what a difference that type of speed makes for photos of a keeper where you're trying to catch the save.
