So shame on me for ripping you off? :p

No really, i shouldnt have bought this lens. I can say its the sharpest lens ive ever had. Sharper than the Canon 135L, sharper than the already very good Canon TSE24Lii... Thats a good thing but it makes me want more lenses like that :)

I'm curious how it compares to the Sony/Zeiss Sonnar T* FE 55mm F/1.8 ZA and the Zeiss Batis 1.8/85.

I don't own the Batis but do have the FE 55 f1.8. Using my mark 1 eyeballs, this lens appears to be very sharp too. This was shot wide open for example:

I spotted this little guy crawling around on the stems of my Daisy plant and he was difficult to see because of the leaves on the stem. He kept crawling down the stem like he had an important date to keep and this was the best I could get of him. Anyone have an idea of what it is?

This was shot using AF-C and expanded, small flexible spot focus area.

I found this small piece of driftwood when I was about 12 years old. My parents were visiting friends at the Navy base on Whidbey Island in Washington at the time.

Nice work, everyone.

I ordered one today. I am not into macros; may be occassional close up work, but I am getting this mainly for portraits on A7R.

I really want to like this lens. Guess I’ll find out soon.

First impressions - It’s lighter than I thought. It’s very-well made. And the initial test shot shows it’s extremely sharp - wide open. So far, so good. :-)

Taken at f/2.8, with only WB auto corrected -

Very nice. Wait until you shoot that same scene at 1:1 and you see the texture of the material that makes up the book bindings, the metallic particles in the gold print and the years of grime that has accumulated by being held in the hands. ;-)a
