If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

I rescued an injured moth (Northern Eggars which I named Lucy) over two weeks ago. Sadly, she didn't survive but laid 14 eggs before expiring. This morning there were at least 10 little caterpillars crawling around the container. Here's one of them.

Great set from YNP and GTNP on your flickr Scrumhalf!
We were there end of July and didn't get but 1 good weather day. All of my pics of the midway and lower geyser basins are ho-hum due to wind ripples on the pools and very gray or white overcadt sky. Looks like you got a great day for seeing into the h2o and really nailed it, awesome stuff, will fav many over the next few days as I have a chance to look more.

Thanks, JV! We got lucky. We spent about 10 days in GTNP and YNP and while there were some night drizzles, we only had rain hamper our daytime plans on one day. There were a couple of cloudy days and I had to move the visit to the geyser basins around those days to make sure I had bright midday sunshine to really make the colors pop.

Walnut fruit in these rainy days.
I really like the perfomance of the 6D in low light.

Ryan, I have long followed you and admired your body of work. Coming from you, that's high praise indeed, something I am not sure I deserve! Thanks!

A few from Grand Teton NP:

Schwabacher's Landing:

Not very happy with the framing of this shot... I would love to get advice on how to crop it. Should I just crop out the left third and focus on the mountains to the right?

Oxbow Bend:

It was already past 9am.. a bit too late for a good shot as it was already starting to get hazy. I did the best I could given the circumstances...
