I'm a little dissapointed it was only availible for like 20 hours. I think it would have been nice to wait the extra 4 hours ... i would have had a chance :( redraw!

I was surprised at how few people wanted to throw their hat in. Only 8 people replied. Not bad odds.

I had assumed it was a "Too Good To Be True" moment, and had been posted to the wrong thread.
I'm awed by your generosity to fellow photographers.
Well done!

I convinced myself he was joking (although I don't really think he was) to avoid adding what would have been a fairly nasty post. This thread brings out the best in many people, but sadly the worst as well.

I honestly still can't believe it and I am completely grateful for the generosity.

I've been having some bad times lately and haven't been able to even afford a DSLR, I barely got by just using my EOS M and manual focus glass.(along with two half broken old film mamiyas lol)

The fact that I ended up getting it has had me over the moon and I will try my best to pay it forward. Going to donate some time to some local organizations. Anything to help others feel as happy as this gesture made me feel.

+1

That's one of the best ways to pay it forward. You are helping out a whole bunch of people is the process. Even if its taking photos at a local animal shelter to help get pets adopted, you still change lives.
