I've been wanting one of these. This used to be a Canon only user group so maybe now that it's open to everyone it will start to fill up with other monochrom users. Who knows, maybe one day I'll be able to share here. Not in the near future though unfortunately. ߘ

Shampoo sounds like an unfortunate name for a hair product.
You're a ghost driving a meat-coated skeleton made from stardust, riding a rock, hurtling through space. Fear Nothing!

When I first saw this, I was shocked at the details from the front horse at the given exposure/backlighting, and read up on the monochrom. I understand why I would not get the same level of detail from a canikujony, but I am more visual and want to actually see the difference. Do you have any links or would you be able to maybe shoot the same scene with the monochrom and your 5d (if you still have) and try to process to look as close to each other? Thanks in advance.

Never shoot any personal work with the 5DIIs anymore.

The MM is really a special camera.

For street work, auto focus just really doesn't cut it and the DoF scales on Canon lenses SUCK. Leica, Zeiss and most manual focus glass have really useful DoF scales. No auto focus in the world is as fast as being pre focused.

A fewer new things
Was in NOLA on a commercial assignment and in my spare time which wasn't much I was able to get out and shoot some.

This summer, I had decided that for my street photography, which is basically my commute and my lunch break, I would use my M camera..., eos m that is, with a nikkor 20mm f/3.5. Shot in raw + monochrome jpeg with an in camera bump in contrast and really liked it. Lost it last weekend. Should have downloaded the card at least as a backup, lesson learned. Have accepted and moved on. Was looking to get a replacement, ended up in Leicaland on POTN, just got the ok to "get something nice", unfortunately not Monochrom nice.

Great inspiring examples of your work!

Sorry to hear about the loss. Since the new MM has been released the price of the original MM have come down.
