Normally you use dots if you don't want or can't the whole name. So it should have been written as: "Ama.... or EB.... or Neew....

As for the symbols to replace letters, keep in mind that Edward does not like to type emails or forum posts. He was simply looking for the easiest way to say, he knows what his branded lights do, he has no way to control what other do.

I assume that by now it is known that all the different brands of this flash all use the same product produced by Godox. The only difference in the product is the shape of the letters of the brand on the flash itself. So if you communicate that those products can have different characteristics or other limitations then, what are you telling about the brand you are representing?

You have to bring forward what you do extra so you can profile yourself from the other resellers of this product.

That last bit is Edward doing very well and I also thank him for bringing this product to us, in cooperation with Godox.

I honestly have actually never seen that done. And I've been around for a while. (not that I'm as ancient as some of the good venerable guys on this forum :-) )

At this point, it seems Ed relies more upon his reputation and the great word-of-mouth support that he gets from loyal customers on the ground than upon marketing efforts to distinguish his products. I genuinely respect and appreciate him for that approach. So it would seem that the most distinguishing mark of CheetahStand, besides the fact that his small batches of products are usually the very latest generation from Godox, is Ed himself! None of the other competitors have an "Ed". How do you market that? You let others do it for you. Brilliant! :-D

Can you elaborate on that because I don't get that?

I only mean that I've found the absolute best thing about CheetahStand is Ed himself. He's one of THE biggest reasons I order from CheetahStand even though his prices for similar components might be higher than some of his competitors. He's not one to brag about HIMSELF.

I like the way he's committed to his customers and how he doesn't want to compromise them with gear that will frustrate them. So his attention to details and his constant effort to get the latest from Godox, as well as his guarantee over the gear that he approves is worth a lot. All the word of mouth marketing he gets is incredible to see. I'm doing it right now. LOL

I tend to agree. Given any price that is at least close to the competition I will buy from CheetahStand. I will do that based on his customer service record.

It reminds me of a saying my father would tell me if he thought my ego was getting to big during sports.

"If you are really good you don't need to tell anyone, other people will do it for you"

Ed doesn't need to brag, he just works hard, and treats everyone well. His behavior stands out so much that we like to compliment him and tell others.

I know he is not a great typist so I just chalk up any typo oddities to his typing skills, not some hidden underlying message

How do you know? We have a guy called Gary at Lencarta is who is a lighting genius (my words) and, I'm guessing, every bit as helpful.

First of all, Lencarta is UK-based and caters to that market, which is fantastic! They seem like a great company. Ed generally only services the U.S.

Additionally, the context of my comments was simply intended to convey the fact that many U.S. CheetahStand customers buy from Ed purely because of Ed and his service. Many of us have a long history with him and prefer to stick with him due to our good experiences with his company. :-)

I'm sure every company that sells the 360 has good customer service team, but I know if I call Cheetahstand I'm getting the Edward the owner and not a hired employee.

What is wrong then with the hired employee?

There's nothing at all "wrong" with an employee. But in that case you need at least two things of the employee: a) the employee needs to be well trained and versed in the gear, b) the employee needs to be capable of providing detailed explanations to a caller who may have questions or may be experiencing difficulty with the gear or may even be frustrated due to those difficulties, which is a real art that not many employees possess naturally, and c) it's extremely helpful if the employee actually CARES about the company and about the client.

I like that when I call CheetahStand and speak with Ed, he's covering all of those bases and more. It gives a customer a sense of confidence in the company. :-)

None of this is to say Cheetah's competitors are incapable of these things. Most Cheetah customers are simply happy with Cheetah and with Ed, plain and simple. :-)

There is nothing wrong with a good employee, however. Have you ever had the experience of the employee saying he is not able to do something or has to ask for approval? When you are talking to the man that makes the decision it's removed that hurdle. That's all.

I will also admit that CheetahStand is local to me, so I"m supporting a local businessman/business as well. The whole think global but act local meme. :)
