Normally you use dots if you don't want or can't the whole name. So it should have been written as: "Ama.... or EB.... or Neew....

He was simply looking for the easiest way to say, he knows what his branded lights do, he has no way to control what other do. I assume that by now it is known that all the different brands of this flash all use the same product produced by Godox. The only difference in the product is the shape of the letters of the brand on the flash itself. So if you communicate that those products can have different characteristics or other limitations then, what are you telling about the brand you are representing?

I honestly have actually never seen that done. And I've been around for a while. (not that I'm as ancient as some of the good venerable guys on this forum mmmfotografie wrote in post #17681963 ... if you communicate that those products can have different characteristics or other limitations then, what are you telling about the brand you are representing? You have to bring forward what you do extra so you can profile yourself from the other resellers of this product. At this point, it seems Ed relies more upon his reputation and the great word-of-mouth support that he gets from loyal customers on the ground than upon marketing efforts to distinguish his products. I genuinely respect and appreciate him for that approach. So it would seem that the most distinguishing mark of CheetahStand, besides the fact that his small batches of products are usually the very latest generation from Godox, is Ed himself! None of the other competitors have an "Ed". How do you market that? You let others do it for you. Brilliant!

I only mean that I've found the absolute best thing about CheetahStand is Ed himself. He's one of THE biggest reasons I order from CheetahStand even though his prices for similar components might be higher than some of his competitors. He's not one to brag about HIMSELF.

I tend to agree. Given any price that is at least close to the competition I will buy from CheetahStand. I will do that based on his customer service record.

They seem like a great company. Ed generally only services the U.S.

But in that case you need at least two things of the employee: a) the employee needs to be well trained and versed in the gear, b) the employee needs to be capable of providing detailed explanations to a caller who may have questions or may be experiencing difficulty with the gear or may even be frustrated due to those difficulties, which is a real art that not many employees possess naturally, and c) it's extremely helpful if the employee actually CARES about the company and about the client.

Aug 27, 2015 14:01 | #6030 There is nothing wrong with a good employee, however. Have you ever had the experience of the employee saying he is not able to do something or has to ask for approval? When you are talking to the man that makes the decision it's removed that hurdle. That's all. ---------------Camera, Lens, Flash stuff.. but still wanting more
