This is what I have done for landscape work...and it seems to have much better results...good to know to apply it to architectural work too. Gear List & Feedback | SmugMug Page

I just took the bracketed images in LR and merged them and then adjusted WB with the HDR image. Maybe this would explain why the colors always look weird. I didn't know that changes made to files before the merge would carry over, I thought they were ignored.

Well this is the first time I thought of it so I'm enjoying getting some confirmation from others. I think what may be happening is that the merging process magnifies any off color issues so clearing them up before hand gives a cleaner merge. But that's a purely non-technical guess. Didn't seem to this time. Maybe white balance is not included. I think I'll make some extreme WB adjustment and see what happens. maybe i misunderstood it then but i thought i read it as, making development adjustments each picture of a pano/hdr merge cancels out after you merge the files and make the .dng file www.vividemotionphotography.com

I will have to look into it more but my WB corrections pre merge did seem to hold. While I see what you are saying, personal observation seems to contradict that statement. I know that when I make obvious WB adjustments, then stack and merge, I don't have to go back and fix the WB in the merged file (occasionally tweak yes, but no wholesale adjustments). So either LR is fixing the WB on its own (highly unlikely), or it is keeping at least that adjustment and running with it. Your work with flash is very nice and not as flat as most. On of the reasons I keep coming back to available light and EF (now LR HDR) is the better light modeling and lighting in multiple rooms or areas. But you are getting very similar results with your flash. Congrats.
