Hmmm...yeah based on that maybe it's better to have a dedicated thread for the 70D high ISO images. That way they won't get lumped in with the thousands of other images in this thread and won't get lumped in with the 5D Mark III images and 6D images in the current +3200 ISO thread.

I'd liked to just be able to review shots taken specifically with the 70D at 3200+ ISO.

Thoughts?

Truthfully I don't think there would be enough interest to warrant a thread. It's way to specific, and people already post their 70D stuff to this thread. I'd recommend just following along this thread and taking note of ISOs posted.

That said, there is a way you can find at least some images with those ISOs, as long as EXIF data has been pulled by AMASS. Follow the link I'm about to post...

https://photography-on-the.net …y.php?camera=838&iso=6400

...then just change the last four digits to the ISO of your choice. Amass will oblige by showing you 70D images posted with that ISO. Unfortunately there are some heavy...

Caveats: It does not work with non-standard ISOs. Putting in ISO 8000 or 10000 just returns a search with all 70D photos. You have to use standard 3200 / 6400 / 12800 numbers. There aren't a ton of them, as AMASS hasn't been pulling EXIF data all that long, and some people have that disabled or it can't pull them (because they're not embedded in the originals).

Hey that is totally cool.

Thanks.

I hope people will post more of their high ISO images and make it clear in their post what they are. Checking the metadata sometimes requires going to Flickr and gets messy as all images don't display the metadata depending on how the poster uploaded the file.

ISO 12,800 from last September. My shutter was up to reduce blur but didn't think ISO would max out :-P

this might be the highest ISO 'keeper' I have

Not had a lot of spare time, allied to few subjects as usual.

Just a couple from today - a small young wolf spider on an apple on the ground, and disabled bluebottle - it has only half a wing on the right side.

Nice shots as usual Paul! If the fly is disabled does he get a little tiny disability check?

QUOTED IMAGE

Love the story this photo tells. And that car just seems to really pop - love that glint of light on the roof also.
