Really like #2. The Lightning, the color, the rain downspout and cloud definition. Very nice. I live in the north valley and was too far away for any decent pictures of last night.

Thanks! This was with a lightning trigger.

That's a cool shot. I've got a lightning trigger last winter, but haven't had a decent storm when I'm off work. Still hoping to get a chance this year, but chances are getting really slim.

^^^ What they said Sundevil. Great exposure that reveals the rain falling. Is this rain a rarity in your area...I looked and AZ gets, what, 8 inches of rain annually?

Do you use a trigger? I've been looking at some...rather expensive for my wallet but there's a couple of less expensive ones on eBay I've thought about trying.

Nice shots!!!

swamp, this is our 'monsoon' season, so lightning and rain in very isolated areas, are common.

I was just using an intervalometer (~$30), keeping the trigger going. The longest shutter speed was like 20 sec, and this was a pretty active storm.

took 200 frames and got 6-7 with strikes.

I do want to try a lightning trigger, but I agree that they are pricey!

Got this shot last night in north Phoenix. The full moon provided lighting for the top of the clouds and the lightning took care of the rest.
