AnnieMacD Oops, me again ![]() More info Post edited over 7 years ago by AnnieMacD. | Renata, these are great - I particularly like the first one. Do you mind sharing what lighting you used? I really want to learn more about OCF but am finding it hard to find resources that I feel comfortable with.

But I found that going through the "Lighting 101" pages helped me with OCF. Dave

The first shot was shot with natural light only; I cranked up the shadows just a bit in PP. The second was a mixture of natural light and a speedlite manual 1/16 power just to get rid of some shadows because the natural light was coming vertically down on her. We were in a 15 story hotel with a glass ceiling. I am not good at shooting with speedlites at all, it was more or less trial and error. I set it on 1/8 at first and realized it was a little too much, so went down to 1/16 and that was it. The strobist resource is great. My other resource is "Understanding Flash Photography" by Brian Petereson. I keep reading it all the time and still don't understand it all...But i do bounce my light, rotate my flash at 45 degrees away from the subject etc. Just experiment and have fun Renata
