This is a simple way to provide some security against dropping your camera whilst carrying when you do not have a wrist strap handy. I use this all the time, it gives me hands free for simple things like opening doors.

There are several ways to make this work. Depending upon the direction of the knot you may tie it so it's loose or even self locking.

SAFETY WARNING
This uses a self tightening knot which if used wrongly can cause injury. Don't leave it with a loop in places where children or animals are about. Don't put it around your neck!

And I was just in the process of changing all my neck straps to wrist straps. Thanks for the tip.

Brillant!
Can you also share where you obtained all those lens covers for the 100-400.
Thanks.

Good idea, I always just wrapped the neck strap around my hand a few times, and when adjusted properly, would be perfectly tight against the grip.

Although I love the idea I didn't like the slip not so instead I just tied a loop not and I love it. Thank you for the great idea!
