I see no reason why not, if the lamp can be used to enhance a photo im thinking like a clamp on light. glo in the dark children's bracelets and necklaces from a party that you have extras, use em for light painting.
just thinking out of the box here.
In the post quoted above, you included a quote attributed to me. Those words weren't mine -- I had quoted them in my post. Here is the post you were quoting, by the original poster of those words:

The one question I have is this:
I have some items that are not related to photography (small lamp, etc). Can i give those away here in this thread (they are not big or heavy, shipping will be minimal) or is there another thread for these items?
thanks for listening
My response to that, which I assume is what you were trying to quote (?), was this:

I don't care if non-photography items "go locally" or get shipped to the farthest ends of the earth, but I do agree that it's probably best for this thread to be limited to photography-related items. I too am not a moderator though, and would be interested to see what happens if you give it a shot, lol.
As you see, I did not speak directly about a lamp or any other specific item. I said I think it's "best for this thread to be limited to photography-related items.".
I'd be fine with photography lighting items being offered.
Is a household lamp a photography-related item? Not according to the person who owns the lamp ("I have some items that are not related to photography (small lamp, etc.)." But I'll let others argue that one out if they'd like. ANYTHING can be considered photography-related if you think far enough outside the box. Not my call to make, and I don't really have a strong opinion on it either way.
