The one question I have is this:
I have some items that are not related to photography (small lamp, etc). Can i give those away here in this thread (they are not big or heavy, shipping will be minimal) or is there another thread for these items?

thanks for listening

I see no reason why not, if the lamp can be used to enhance a photo im thinking like a clamp on light. glo in the dark children's bracelets and necklaces from a party that you have extras, use em for light painting.
just thinking out of the box here.

In the post quoted above, you included a quote attributed to me. Those words weren't mine -- I had quoted them in my post. Here is the post you were quoting, by the original poster of those words:

My response to that, which I assume is what you were trying to quote (?), was this:

I don't care if non-photography items "go locally" or get shipped to the farthest ends of the earth, but I do agree that it's probably best for this thread to be limited to photography-related items. I too am not a moderator though, and would be interested to see what happens if you give it a shot, lol.

As you see, I did not speak directly about a lamp or any other specific item. I said I think it's "best for this thread to be limited to photography-related items.".

I'd be fine with photography lighting items being offered.

Is a household lamp a photography-related item? Not according to the person who owns the lamp ("I have some items that are not related to photography (small lamp, etc.)." But I'll let others argue that one out if they'd like. ANYTHING can be considered photography-related if you think far enough outside the box. Not my call to make, and I don't really have a strong opinion on it either way.

I have a second gripped 7d Mark 2 that needs a new home and that I want to pay forward. Camera and Canon brand grip are in excellent condition with no nicks, dents, dings or other imperfections. Like the other mark 2, this one is about 6 months old with about 3000 shutter clicks. As usual this is not first-come-first served. I'd like this to go to someone who could really use it. PLEASE NOT FOR RESALE. PM please, do not respond here. I do have feelers out locally but will keep this open until Tuesday or Wednesday.

Just a quick note - this is still open until at least tomorrow. Got a couple of suggestions that it should go to a school - so that's in the mix. Thanks to all of you who replied. Keep 'em coming.

I've pmmed you (i think) Hopefully it would help with my work with the guide dogs for the blind.

I've also got a 54 (i think) UV filter off my 50mm f1.8 II if anyone would want this? (uk only due to shipping costs)

Guys, I have a great Unomat flash that served me very well in the analog days but I have used it successfully on my old Rebel. Comes in original box, English instructions, some "gels" etc. Let me know if you are interested, please :) PM me if interested.
