The left rear leg of the spider is close to the branch, and the branch almost appears as an extension of the spider?

Agreed. I would try burning the branch a bit to differentiate it from the spider.

I love my 70D - its an "all-rounder"
>rant< but I find it frustrating that Canon has not once updated the firmware nor acknowledged any issues, such as that wide-spread wide aperture focus issue, or the freeze issues, etc. I had the freeze issue once (Hokie - you too if I remember... been so long I forget what it was about... taking out the battery fixed it). All in all most of our 70D's have been trouble free. Its just sad when Canon makes so many sales on an item but neglects further R&D on it... >/rant<

Agreed, from start to finish.

That still plagues me occasionally and I can't figure out what triggers it. Sometimes it requires a battery pull plus some love taps to 'free up' the accelerometer. I'm guessing it's something I should have sent in for warranty repair but it is so intermittent they may not even get it to happen.

Personally I'm extremely disappointed there has been NO firmware update on this camera. They're telling us it's perfect, full stop. On the plus side, it mostly is. Doubt I'll ever outgrow it and until it dies or I come into enough money to go full frame as an amateur (...and that is laughable...), it will be my camera for a very long time to come.

Just out of curiosity, anyone of you guys with the 70D using the 16-35L f/4 IS? If so, any sample photos? Thanks!
