Yes it is pity that this thread is not specific for the event and in no time it will be totally lost in achieve of time and tones of other non related data (Similar to a lot data that I have lost in other similar threads, when I needed to return back for more and could find no trace, even with "Search" function) but then what can you do?

One thing that will promote your photos really well, is adding them to your member gallery. Some will end up in Best Of gallery for more promotion. Those are permanent exhibitions where good photos will surely lure people to see more (they will be redirected to thread to see the full size photos). If you do not have correct gear in the database, pick something close to it and when the correct gear is added to the database it can be changed then.

I did started a thread here in "Astronomy & Celestial" to Show Pictures & discuss events before, during and after the Celestica events in a chronological fashion, but that was put to a corner of POTH that even I can not find the location myself, what to say to see by others and participate, ( I believe Talk section of thread that for no obvious reason is separated from this main forum, when even this forum has no more than a handful of viewer per day. In any case that thread (LINK) is RIP and I have no intention of keeping it alive though I had the intension of keeping it useful to beginner user and probably could serve many

My advice is that you create a separate thread
"Official Astro Event announcements" in Talk section and put the link to it in your sig.
Then I'll change the title of thread https://photography-on-the.net …/showthread.php?t=1371019 to something like "Astro Events, share photos" and move it here. You can market the event announcement thread in that thread, too.

There is nothing preventing you to start a new photo sharing thread for every new event, too.

, in Astro thread and obviously it was killed totally due to lack of accessibility (Thanks to the Moderator who hated me and did that transfer).

Please stop blaming moderators for doing their job. That thread was titled with word "discussion", Talk forum is the correct place in those cases. See above.

This site though useful in photography in general, has no interest by the organizer in terms of covering Astrophotography and you see that even from comments of some of moderators in a few only topics they participated (Quite a rare event) here, as to how much they don't know about astro stuff and in fact unlike every other aspect of site, that has at least one moderator expert/ dedicated to the topic, there is no such coverage here...Well none of my business, by the rules of site.

There could be an Astro moderator of course, but at the moment the easiest way would be to PM me when needed and explain your needs. I'm not doing any changes to mod crew until mod tools are complete and also made safer for mistakes that newbies always do (there is no "undo" in delete post, for example).

A re-edit of a previous shot from earlier this year. I finally got the stitching to work out correctly with all six images and meteor.

You've got so much good going on here!
Love the tide being out and the light on the sand, just as one small example.

Just a test shot. My first attempt at a whole-sky panorama (stitching lots of images taken with the Samyang 14 on my 6D). Not perfect, but it's something I'll do again one of these days... next time from a nicer location without powerlines!

Thanks for the positive response. I lucked out that morning with hardly any light pollution to deal with (only 1 street lamp) and catching a meteor in one of the frames.

some of my first "Successful" shots.... next time I should probably bump up the ISO and have lower the exposure time. but I also hate the noise it has.

Well this is my first time giving Mack's Method a shot. OK results, likely need to take more shots next time to help smooth the transitions.
