Haha, thanks! Although, if I learned one thing in Boy Scouts, it was "never do with your bare hands what can be done with an extended monopod and a delayed shutter release."

I would do a search for 400mm DO V1 vs 400 5.6.. vs 100-400 II

I know several who were just satisfied with DO VI, but V2 everyone seems to be quite pleased.
I would also put in the mix for consideration the 100-400 II and or the 400 5.6
