Clive on a very cool Thursday evening - quite a muted look I thought, apart from the first wispy cloud shot.

Nothing particularly special, but I just wanted to highlight what a great lens the new EF 50mm F1.8 STM is on the 70D

Always wanted to try this shot, the weather "co-operated" yesterday.

Nicely done.

Speedlite behind and speedlite up in the umbrella?

Very best,

Just the one speed light behind, but it still hits the umbrella. Next time I'd tilt the umbrella forward so it's not so distracting, but obviously we were working quickly. Thanks!

Even nicer that it was just a single light. Tons of bounce despite it's distance, very cool.

Very best,

you nailed the shutter speed, great rain-drop blur, great shot.

If the bride and groom were a little bummed about rain, you pulled off a great memory

Great day for diving...I did a couple hour dive and here is one of my bud at the deepest part of the quarry (135') and we were greeted by the famous water gnome. We are getting ready for a week of cave diving photography and we needed to work on some various ideas.

...and since I had a 29 minute deco obligation because of the depth and duration of our dive, I needed to do something to pass the boredom...so I thought I would take a "selfie"...

Brilliant as always everyone - the quality goes on and on.

Been sidelined with work and stuff, and poor weather meaning few insects, so nothing much from me of late.

Grabbed these in the last couple of days - nothing special mind you...

A caterpillar making an attempt at camouflage and failing, lol...

A wasp, this afternoon that had been feeding on a fallen apple, and was so drunk it couldn't fly away and just bombed down onto the ground..

IMAGE: https://pi.smugmug.com/Macro-Gallery/i-7chq7mg/0/O/1200drunk.jpg

And another wasp that I spotted trapped beneath the drivers door on the sill of my car the other afternoon - no idea how it got there, nor for how long it was under the doors edge...

Anderson Park yesterday in Napier. Nice to be away from the cold wind at the coast. Inspired by Will, trying the yesteryear preset in LR - not sure if it works though. Light too harsh?

My little dog leapt over the fence towards the little train.
