Well, they are native (F)E lenses. I guess you meant FE autofocus lenses. :-P

I meant Sony lenses haha

Thanks! I now see why you made the Sony your main body.

When i reviewed the images from my vacations there was one image that was extremely dreamy and a quite special shot that i want to share with you. I remember that i have shot the scene with the CV40 wide open (first image), and that i shot it again at f/8 for increased DOF (second image). The difference is mind blowing as well as quite interesting!

As far as I know the Loxia lenses are not focus by wire. They still have a mechanical focus ring.

It would make absolutely no sense to have MF only lenses that were focus by wire... focus by wire uses an AF motor to focus the lens when you turn the ring.

After having a 6D for some time now, I decided to move away from Canon (sadly) since I commute by bus most now. I wanted something lighter and more convenient to throw in my school bag or a smaller day pack. Sony does not disappoint. I'm excited to give this camera more reps.

Hey hey! CJ! Long time no see. Welcome to the Sony thread. You in Portland now? Love that city.
You'll love the Sony world. I just upgraded to the A7r2 and am selling the A7ii. Still holding on to the 6D for now. Lots of great lenses for the Sony. Including some legacy manual lenses , etc.

I could be wrong but I think all FE lenses are focus by wire

Correct. All Sony native FE lenses and as far as I know the Batis lenses too.

Pretty sure my parents had this same ashtray growing up..
I really like the 2nd one. How'd you light that, if you don't mind me asking?

I am; I moved here about 1.5-2 months ago. Also really enjoying the Sony. Pretty compact for what it packs.

Currently only have the 28mm f/2. I have a Canon FD 50 f/1.8 which I ordered an adapter to try out. Otherwise, I plan to by the 55mm f/1.8 once I sell my old gear.

The FE 28/2 makes a great walkaround lens.
I have the FD 50/1.8. Great lens (all manual obviously). But it's a lot of fun to use and it's pretty tiny, even with the adapter.
