Here are some picks of the salmon trying to get upstream to spawn. Unfortunately we've had such a drought that the creeks are too shallow. These are pinks, but here on the sunshine coast of BC Their spawning this year is pretty much a wash...

Quick test of 56mm against 85L

XT1, 56mm, ISO1600, f1.2

IMAGE: http://www.bobbyzphotography.com/img/s1/v48/p1470045818-5.jpg

5dmk3 85L, ISO1600, f1.2

IMAGE: http://www.bobbyzphotography.com/img/s2/v58/p1470045739-5.jpg

Minor adjustments in WB, exposure to get them closer.

Another one

XT1, 56mm, ISO1600, f1.2, 1/100

IMAGE: http://www.bobbyzphotography.com/img/s7/v156/p1470077477-5.jpg

5dmk3 85L, ISO1600, f1.2, 1/125

IMAGE: http://www.bobbyzphotography.com/img/s7/v153/p1470067789-5.jpg

Minor but exact same change to both in WB, clarity etc.

5dmk3, 35L, 85L II, 300mm f2.8 IS I, 400mm f5.6
Fuji XT-1, 14mm f2.8, 23mm f1.4, 35mm f1.4, 56mm f1.2, 90mm f2, 50-140mm f2.8

Awesome comparison. I am definitely not upset at all at the subtle differences. The angle changes just slightly making some bokeh look different, but man, those are great shots.

I am a new X-T1 owner and if all goes smoothly, the last of my Canon gear will be sold tomorrow. At first I was terrified to sell it all since I use my gear for weddings, but after a day and a half, I feel pretty damn confident in my move. I just added a few photos from a family get together. I am just in aw right now with the 56/1.2. I'm getting an 18-55 next, but I'm on the hunt for a longer telephoto lens. the 50-140mm would be nice, but I'm not sure if I can swing that cost before my next event.

Any ways, I just wanted to say hello and share a few quick pix and share my excitement lol.

Goodnight,
Andrew

Thanks. There was a sale at best Buy like a month or so ago where they were selling 50-140mm at like $599. I already had one and was too late to notice it. Even though XT1 feels little slower compared to 5dmk3, it is working out nicely for me.
