Dean5 Member  More info | Lightning shots are not difficult to take by any means but there is a learning curve. You need some luck with the aiming and timing. If you have 2 cameras you are golden. You can cover a much bigger area of the sky. You are on the right track. A pilot with a Camera.

I may yet try one of the less expensive triggers from eBay...seems like one basic one that comes as a circuit board kit also comes as an assembled unit. I could probably solder one up (old ham radio guy) but it's been a while since I built anything...might just bite the bullet and order the ready-made unit...maybe.
