Thanks Paul !!! Here's one with the Sigma 150-600mm Contemporary lens. I also lucked out with the bokeh.

According to the manual (pp 177, 178) you can select different resolutions (L,M,S) in both FX and DX modes. It does not say these are only valid for JPG, maybe it will record them in RAW as well. I am almost sure you can have a DX mode RAW. I have never tried it though.

Gear is one thing photos are another story.

I am aware they are not the most perfect pictures of the Milkyway, but my they are my first attempts with the Nikon D750 and the 14-24 F2.8.
ISO 3200, 14mm, exposure 30" and F2.8

I'm not finding much diffraction at f22 on this old 35-70 f2.8 lens (1992 or older)

I didn't mind mine but found that 35 wasn't quite wide enough for my tastes as a general walkaround

Yes, but mine is a non-D. Works well and the glass is good, focuses fast on the D750. Recently picked mine up for $250. Much smaller than the 24-70. Poor mans solution to the 24-70. Not bad for a 1992 or earlier lens.

All editing (cropping and selective color) done in camera except for a little sharpening in Gimp
