Love this...I thought my Chessie was going to have her last season this year. After seeing the pain she was in after a short day of grouse hunting on opener, I think last year was her last...she'll be staying home for pheasant and duck this year. My shorthair will do fine on his own pheasant hunting but I'll be shooting over other dogs for duck. Sad to see them get old...

Our best friends, indeed. It's nice too hear one of my photos stirs so much emotion. Hope she is comfortable.

Best,
Ken

Haha, it's a lot of fun. I wished I had access to a 400/2.8 lens. Or a 800/5.6. I'll need to find a kenko 2x to stack up against my Canon one.

The demolition of the twin chimneys of Cockenzie Power Station (plus a piece of the building). Apparently, this was the first of its type, where the two chimneys were loaded with charges to make them fall towards each other, so they broke up in mid air and fell to earth in one neat heap.

The only disconcerting thing was the similarity with 9-11!

WOW! I love this, I think that you caught this perfectly actually. The way the dust and bricks create images of a humanoid form is really cool too. I can see the muscles in the back are a even, I have never seen anything like that at all.

You did really well on catching the action!

Had to fight through some thin cloud cover, haze, and light polution. I'll plan better for 2033 or whenever this happens again.

Thanks for the comments folks. Aye, the apparition is quite spooky - either human... or the last plucked chicken hanging in the butcher's window!
