You're rockin' that 85, Mark! :-)

Thanks Jon, had it a while but haven't really done a lot with it recently, planning to put that right.

So I left the 85mm at home today and went out with some shorter gear. Two images of different ends of the same structure, the first with the Sigma 50mm f/1.4 Art lens:

Next one with the Canon 24mm ts/e lens, shifted to correct vertical distortion:

Very nice again Allen. Mind telling us your settings again? are you focusing manually / hyperfocal with the Leica?

Some simple photos

Probably a good thing there's no Leica dealer near me. I could be tempted by a new MM 246 + 50mm f2 APO summicron ASPH. A sellers market at present as both are in very short supply, especially the body.

You can get a good deal on an original MM now. I really have any desire to upgrade. The new one has tons of things I don't and wouldn't use on it. It is less noisy at high ISO but I can shoot in almost any light with mine and I don't mind the noise from the original.

Yes, the original can be had for as 'little' as £4250 now in the UK (it was listed at £6200 before the MM246 was released) making it a very good price. Trouble is, I'm trying to cure myself of G.A.S. at present so no, no, no...:-)
