Lovely shots ~
Its actually encouraging to see a hopeful comeback of Monarchs this past year.... Lots more sighting this year vs the previous handful

So many beautiful images flying by, and all I have to contribute is a few monarchs. 'Tis the season around here.

Gosh - this has been busy in the last few days. I'm becoming very frustrated as we have beautiful blossom and spring flowers everywhere, but incessant rain. It's a south easterly, and they tend to go on for days!

Great shots everyone. Amazing story about the beer bottles.

Took a couple in the rain yesterday with the nifty fifty STM - what bokeh! Not the best quality images though.

Kowhai - one of our native trees, much loved by tuis, so I've planted several.

Yes plenty of waterdrops but it's also a bit windy, and needs to be still for water drops. I don't like to up the iso too much as hate noisy images, and I'm not the best at LR or PSE.

Hmm I am using PSE 11, and for what I do, and my skill level, not sure I want to spend more $$$$$

Oh well - it's been raining - and some.

The sun came out and we thought we'd have a nice walk after all:

By now the rain had set in again and we were dripping, so turned back. An intrepid runner:

Took a break from editing to see how well I could shoot the moon. I'm limited to 150mm, turns out that's a bit of an issue!

Was really impressed with how well this capture came out. This was a shot of a tunnel I took, and I had people behind me waiting for me to take the shot. I was rushed, and didn't have my tripod with me so this was shot handheld, at 2000ISO.

IMAGE: https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5797/21656702662_d7bf18b3dd_c.jpg

And this was the trail we took to get to the top of the mountain, such a cool sight to see. There is also an elevator that goes right through the mountain to get to the top, which we took to get back down. The tunnel picture was shot just after we stepped out of the elevator.
