Things cut off on the border of the photo can be important suggesting more beyond or distracting. The second photo could use a little more space at the top to put the tree fully inside the photo. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you tmcman. I had actually cropped some off the top thinking it would be better that way. I will have to go back to it and see if I can strike a balance like you are talking about.
