Has this image been cropped and if so can you say by how much? Cheers Gus Hi /....yes ...this image was cropped to over 50% of total size. To put it into perspective if I was shooting same bird with same lens( 100-400) but with my 5dMk2 instead I would have had little or no image left because the crop I did on the 5dsr image was over 4,600 pixels on the long side ( finished size is 4018 pixels long) . So ineffect the amount I cropped out was nearly the whole Mk2 equivalent image. This image left will still allow me to print this A3+ at 240dpi ...... Here is a screen shot of the actual crop . Another way of looking at it is by having a larger sensor resolution is like shooting it with a longer lens( approx 600mm+) if one crops in to get the subject to fill the frame better to how a 600mm on a smaller sensor would do Image hosted by forum (749132) © clipper_from_oz [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. Clipper Thanks Clipper, that's a neat way to show exactly how much crop has been used, much appreciated.
