I had focusing problems during the first phase due to clouds and during the red phase due to poor light. I tried manual on the Sony and both manual and auto, both on the Tamron and with a couple of shorter zooms and had some issues. The second phase of the eclipse the clouds lifted and it was MUCH easier, although this was the first time I ever shot photos of the moon.....I don't know why. These are all with the Tamron on the Canon, the only combo that I could work with tonight......finally the mosquitoes chased me inside.....paying the price now.
