Nice abstract :-)

Here's another rave run - same canal as last week, just a few miles further along.

I do envy you your scenery! Living in the city's suburbs, as I do, I'm always fighting power lines and utility poles getting in my photos. ( I suppose that's one of the reasons I do a lot of close focus/macro work.)
I'll start making an effort to do several day trips each month, so I don't get too stagnant in my approach.

I was experimenting with my Yongnuo 50mm f/1.8 attached to a Tamron 1.4X AF adapter and learned that (with some cropping) it makes a pretty good combination for small butterflies.
It took me a little while to choose which "head" to focus on!

I am lucky where I live, but there is also a fair amount of careful cropping going on...

Today, something different. I went to a place with over 100 trampolines to play on.

It was great fun, but I make no promises that I'll be able to walk tomorrow.

Wow! My daughter was a gymnast. She would've loved that place!

My dogs were going crazy tonight trying to get me to open the door so they could chase this opossum.

Love the detail - what was the lighting for this? Did you use flash?

I went round to look at the cricket ground across the fence from the end of my street today:

I used my 240EX speedlight.
For some reason (user error, most likely) the focus assist beam wasn't working; I had to manually focus on the vague silhouette of the fence.
The eyes, of course, were glowing silver in the RAW file, but I was able to fix them in post processing.

-Rose in Black and White-
I had to fall back on my "just-in-case" shot of a rose in the garden, as all of my photos of the eclipse were horrendous!

Lovely, though - especially the fall-off in focus towards the edges - makes it look really soft

Sunset today, only had the phone with me but it was really pretty.

Is this still your back garden? What an amazing variety of wildlife!

It was a bit misty this morning on the way in to work

Actually, I was being very lazy and taking photos of the little critters whilst sitting on a bench outside my front door.
We have a bumper crop of anole lizards tis year, it seems.
Our attempts at gardening usually devolve into a glorious state of chaos, but the wildlife seems to like it.

Your misty moist-y morning looks wonderful!

A Carpenter Bee pollinates a basil plant by my driveway.
Often mistaken for a bumble bee, the carpenter bee has a less hairy, shiny abdomen.
