So late October (24th or 25th) there is a chance that I may have a day or so of downtime in between jobs. I will be flying up from San Jose to Eugene, Oregon through Portland. More than likely I will get a car in Portland and drive down to Eugene sunday evening. With that said.. I was told, and have searched and found, some amazing waterfalls around Oregon.. does anyone have any suggestions that are possibly within an hour or two drive of Oregon that I should stop by with my 5diii and 10-stop filters? Would love to get some images of different landscapes other than what we have down in NC... I was looking at possibly going to the Hood River, seems like its only an hour away and has a couple of falls, or would you suggest something else maybe a little further south or east and better?

Thanks in advance

Cannon Beach with Haystack Rock (Goonies) is less than an hour and a half from Portland. Really the whole Oregon coast is a must see.

Multnomah Falls is close to Portland.

There are a number of waterfalls within a short drive from Portland. The first 2 are maybe 30 minutes from Portland -- upper and lower Latourell. My favorite is Oneonta gorge if the water level in the creek is low, but you have to get wet for it. My wife and I drove the gorge a couple of years ago and used the following website as a guide.
