I just did a trip to Ladakh in India (external link) last month. A very beautiful place and touted as photographer's paradise. Here are a few photos from the journey.

1. A lucky break in the clouds welcomed us on Namika La (external link). It lasted for no more than 4 minutes when we were on the top. Here is the colour version.

2. And the Black & White version.

3. We got a bit delayed on the way to Lamayuru (external link) and missed shooting this scene in warm sunset colours as I had envisaged. Nonetheless, got the blue in the sky.

These are all beautiful. First two are my favourite - hard to pick which one, but I think the black and white edges it. Nice job. Any more?

It's all in the details.

I prefer the color version.
The rays of the sun coming through the clouds make it a very special moment.

Nice pics. For the first two I prefer the B&W, but the color is equally as nice.

Thank you for kind words people.

In the first two, even I somehow like the BW more. May be it is because I saw it as BW while shooting. We really got lucky with the cloud break. It lasted for around 5 minutes precisely, starting when we were about to reach the summit [In a car though ].
