Gus- you don't need either with the results you get with the 100-400ii; I need all the help I can get! Will def. shed the 300 2.8 when the 600 DO becomes
reality, but as mentioned prior by then age may have already forced me completely into mirroless-though I've begun doing resistance exercises ;)

Kevin- serious shark encounters! What's with you Aussies-Gus and his tiger snakes and you and the sharks. I live a very tame life :)

Very nice, I've been sitting outside trying to get a decent one this morning myself.

Nice one. I feel like I'm driving to the lake. Fantastic mood.

I live for fog. We were on a bus heading from the Algarve region of Portugal to Lisbon. The fog was amazing, the sun is rising and here I am on a tour bus. I got one of my favourite B&W shots that morning. One reason we were moving and I was shooting through a bus window. AI Servo just doesn't track moving targets. Sometimes you are the one moving.

Awesome. I'd kill to get that close at a game. Kids are playing down the street all of the time but this day and age I would even think about it. I have only had a few invites in the last few years.

Serene Silhouette Sunset...

Saw this from a far distance, waiting for the Bloody Full Moon Eclipse the other night, while the sun was setting over Los Angeles... Mixture of sun beams and cloud formations developing as dusk settled in... This hill was on the far west side of the legendary Hollywood Sign... It looks like the people near the lone tree were also awaiting for the blood moon to rise from the horizon... 7D2 + 400 2.8L II 'non-IS' + Canon 2x II TC... ISO 400, f/6.3 @ 1/2500sec... 1,280mm FOV (including crop factor) with only slight cropping from the bottom for framing purposes...

:D
