Built myself a solar filter with a sheet of Baader solar film and cardboard, following the instructions on the packet. Taken with a Canon 700d through a Skywatcher ST80 (F5) refractor. 400mm iso 400 1/400 sec.
I processed in Gimp to make it yellow which doesn't just make it more aesthetically pleasing, it gets rid of CA and brings out detail. Also cropped.

Uploaded from iPhone so there maybe some degradation in quality.

Very nice DamonR , very few do that anymore but I think you'll find that to be very useful from now on . When your not using it tho keep it well protected so it wont get scratches or cuts in the film .

I doubt it. I want to concentrate on DSOs for now. I am a bit limited on funds so fast lenses is where investment is going to be concentrated and maybe a modded 1100d.
