M_Six Cream of the Crop More info | Sep 25, 2015 22:05 | #3 I need to make this move as well. My work rig has a 27" Thunderbolt, which isn't even 4K, but it blows my home rig away. My home monitors are ancient Dell 20" square screens that show posterization. Almost impossible to do any serious editing. Mark J.

No wifi needed, all USB. Mobile displays don't have as high color accuracy or as large a gamut as desktop displays. In fact, most phones/tablets don't even fully cover the sRGB color space, never mind Adobe '98. 5DmkII | 24-70 f/2.8L II | Pentax 645Z | 55/2.8 SDM | 120/4 Macro | 150/2.8 IF

The ability to zoom into finer detail is slightly better on a 4k monitor. Pics don't "pixelize" as quickly. I used to think that some of my pics were blur or camera running out of resolution. With 4k, I realize it wasn't the case....

Oct 01, 2015 15:02 | #14 I need a new pc setup so I can run a 4k monitor. I think someone should start a new thread on worthy graphics cards for 4k editing (not for gaming!). I'd do it myself but I have bugged this forum enough lately!
