Marginal subjects at the edge of the food category. Bones, eggshells, table settings, toothpicks--what have you got?

This is food waste: empty edamame (soybean) pods at a sushi bar.

An experiment: a broiling pan after dinner. I tried several angles. This one came out moody, I think, and slightly menacing. It looks more like a promotion for veganism than I intended.

It is one of the three main food groups: wines, beers and spirits.

Instant coffee in its new spot. The sugar is food, but it isn't most of the picture.

The eggs are real food, but the intended star of the show is the timer. Light mostly from large window at left; overcast sky.

Nice work OhLook ... I like that timer.

I photographed a really "nervous egg" about three years ago ....

Thanks, Lupo. Good job anthropomorphizing your egg!

Not food, exactly: Exactly! That's the point. I found this and a couple of others in a chicken sausage. The segment of shaft is 3/8" (9mm) long. Will not buy that brand again.
