Lenses are almost always sharper past f/8, and I think you get better depth of field with the f/8 - f/13 range. Past f/13 then your image generally starts suffering from diffraction (loss of image quality). Thanks for the information. We should be fine with depth of field even with faster aperture right with Moon too far away. Anyway f/8 is sweet spot for lot of lens. Canon RP with 24-240mm
