Yes I did post the lens.. And someone got the lens already without me receiving any camera body.....I told the owner that I gave it up cuz I did not use the lens for a while and I want that lens to be used by someone who needs it......

I would encourage everyone with extra gear that they are not using regardless of the value to post it up even if you don't need anything right now. In my opinion this thread shouldn't be a this-for-that. POST UP EVERYONE.

All right, lets get back to business. I have a Canon LP-E6n less than a few months old. Who needs one? CLAIMED...

I agree wholeheartedly with Gary. I have tried to sell, repeatedly, some of my gear that I no longer use. I knew someone here would have a use for my stuff. I am glad my Elan 7, Sunpak flash, and 28-105 have found new homes. The spirit of this thread is giving. Giving means just that.

This thread should not be a place for trading, or as Gary puts it, 'this-for-that'. Do that in the WTB/WTT thread, please. It should also not be thread for beggars. That is unseemly, at best. More so if you can already, for the most part, enjoy this hobby. Granted, we all enjoy at different levels. I'd love a 24L II. I'll love it more when I can finally get one on my own.

I have sony stock lenses A-mount. I think they are 18-70mm and 55-200mm???? They were included from a Sony a330 camera... . I don't need them any more. Anybody would like to grab them??? Just pay for the shipping.....will post some pics when I get back from california in 3more days....

Folks, I have two gifts to offer today.

The first item is a basic light stand. It'll work for a speed lite, but I wouldn't trust it with much more weight than that. I used a promaster soft box with it and it worked great.

The second item is a very basic tripod. Not rated for much weight, I used it for my 7D with smaller lenses. Would make a good starter tripod or emergency backup.

PM for either or both of these items.

I use lightstands just like that for 430EX IIs and 30" umbrellas. They work. I'd keep it to indoors only.

I think that is how this began, but quickly the "give before you take" rule had to be adopted because many people were simply taking advantage of the process.

In all honesty, the more I see of human nature in threads like this the more I think that unless you are giving to someone with a genuine need you are better off selling your gear and donating the money to a good charity.

I understand. What is disheartening to me is when the recipient does not even say thank you or even acknowledge that they received the item. But even so, I'm going to continue to pay stuff forward because you never know what impact a gift is going to have on someone's life.

I have an old kalimar 28-200mm lens I can giveaway if anyone doesn't have a Telefoto lens. It's not the sharpest lens and I have the adapter attached to the lens to be able to attach it to any canon body. I forgot what mount it is I want to say Pentax k but I can be wrong. So up for grabs is a kalimar 28-200mm Lens with adapter to attach to canon Ef mount.
