We spent two weeks in the Canadian Rockies at the end of summer backpacking and hiking. Some smoky skies and a week of clouds/rain weren't the best for pictures, but that's the mountains for you. Here are a few of my favorites. CC always welcome. Thanks for looking!

1. Mt. Robson Sunrise

2 -5. Sunrise at Moraine Lake

I'm not a wildlife photographer, but for fun, a grizzly bear on the Skyline Trail:

Awesome!
I've been in Banff/Jasper many times but never did Berg Lake trail, because I didn't find a larger group to join , and grizzlies are no joke up there.

Thanks!

The Berg Lake trail doesn't have any group size restrictions. The trails around Moraine Lake have restrictions though. Not hard to find people though - tons of people on the trail.

These are superb. It would be nice to see them a bit larger though!

Great set of images. That first one literally made me say, "Wow," out loud at work.

Images are fantastic, but it would be much nicer to look at them, if they were bigger. Even on photobucket they are tiny.

Beautiful images! Like the canoes at Moraine Lake.
I was there a few weeks back; didn't see any grizzlies, and that's probably a good thing, but still cool that you did.

Thanks everybody! The images seem big enough on my screen? Maybe will try reposting. Thanks!
