anyone else shooting one of these old bad boys. just got one in the mail today. picked it up on ebay for $243 to replace my 55-250 "iffy at 250"

I'll give this thread some action from my test shots...
For some resin these photo bucket pic look considerably less sharp than on DPP

I may as well revitalize this thread, white-fronted geese and pintail at Butte Valley Wildlife Area in northern California.

The old black light pipe is alive and kicking in these fast-paced 2010's of ours!

After many years of longing for this lens, I finally got a top-notch copy over the post today both at the local auction site here in Brazil.

So this is actually its first light with me. Here's hoping I'll have better shots to post in here next time.

The high ISO number used was due to the model, our tomcat Sylvester, being in the shadows of a mango tree.

Just picked up a copy of this lens last week. Was initially disappointed with it, but after shooting the sunset over Minneapolis last night, I think it's a fantastic lens!

I find this lens to be more than adequate for shooting jets at air shows. In fact, I just used it for the Aviation Nation air show at Nellis AFB.
