Your retouching here is really very good. It is very realistic and restrained which results in an image which speaks very clearly to the natural beauty of your model. Just well done, very.

I hope your subject likes it.

I normally don't do crazy Photoshop manipulations for clients, but this request piqued my interest. It's a bit over the top, but it allowed me to revisit some of my graphic design roots.

These were taken at John Ball Zoo in Grand Rapids, MI... so there was usually something undesired in the background. I only do this to a few photos as it takes time. The silly photos don't get the same treatment. I also don't promise or even tell the clients that I will do this, I just do it as more of a surprise and for my portfolio.

I placed the "afters" first because you don't really notice what you don't know is missing. Once you know what is missing, you can spot it.

thanks! Yea i contemplated that too. I would have left it if the road were old brick or something, but the man-made stuff just sticks out too much. maybe if i took just the bench and pole out

Don't forget about the cement pole. It stands out against the trees without the other items.

Interesting thread, I will have to see if I can find some before-after stuff when I get home.
