A great camera for going anywhere and shooting at the spur of the moment. Shot in raw at f/7.1, 1/500 and iso 100, but changed to B&W in lightroom.

Just messing around last night with the Canon EOS M3 and Canon 400mm F5.6L coupled with the Canon Extender II x1.4 & Canon Extender II x2 (with Canon EF-M Adapter) giving a focal length of 1120mm (the EXIF only seems to pick up the x2 Extender). Tripod mounted.

ISO100, 1/25 sec, F16.

The articulating screen made it easier to frame and focus on the Moon which was at an altitude of 65º above the horizon.

Cheers

Dennis

I’ve had a couple of enquiries about how this Moon shot was processed, so I’d thought I’d try to explain it by providing Screen captures of how I used the Topaz Labs Plug-ins for CS6.

Basically I use Topaz Detail – Micro Contrast Enhancement and,
Topaz Adjust - HDR Collection Plug-ins as shown in the attached screen capture.

Cheers

Dennis.
