Mr. UPS dropped by today and left an EF 100-400 II for me to play with. Here's my first "duck" shot (this duck is very cooperative - he also made himself available for my duck shot with my original 7D). ;-)a

I tried a quick test shot with the EF 1.4X III also - they seem to work well together. I'm really going to love the IS on this lens. :-)

this thing is ridiculous. i couldn't resist going down to a nearby marshland, though i don't routinely take pictures of birds. unbelievably fast auto focus, sharpness and consistency.
