You are going to have to be more specific. Bumping up to f4 given the same lens? Same format? As written, that statement doesn't make a lot of sense.
I dunno... I was rambling.

Hi guys, thanks for all of the replies. So What ive heard is that the 24-105 is a nice lens, however i "normally' would never get an f4 lens vs a 2.8 but with the FF 6d I will notice more of a 2.8 bokeh so that makes the f4 more appealing. I would like to be able to use the lens for some newborn work without buying a separate 50mm prime.. (however i might still do that) would the nifty 50 work on FF

The 24-105 is a nice option and you can always get the new 50 1.8 STM lens for 125. It's a really nice performer on my 5D3 A7rIII | A7III | 12-24 F4 | 16-35 GM | 28-75 2.8 | 100-400 GM | 12mm 2.8 Fisheye | 35mm 2.8 | 85mm 1.8 | 35A | 85A | 200mm L F2 IS | MC-11

Sometimes its just easier to see it first hand - or at least second hand. A crop Canon 1.6 camera will give the equivalent picture with a 85/1.2 @ 1.2 that a full frame will give with a 135/2 at 2.0. A crop camera using a 17-55 at 55mm @ 2.8 will give the equivalent picture as a full frame camera using a 24-105/4 at 88mm f4.5 Canon 7D/350D, Σ17-50/2.8 OS, 18-55IS, 24-105/4 L IS, Σ30/1.4 EX, 50/1.8, C50/1.4, 55-250IS, 60/2.8, 70-200/4 L IS, 85/1.8, 100/2.8 IS L, 135/2 L 580EX II, 430EX II * 2, 270EX II.

ALSO when doing newborn (have one coming up first couple weeks in Nov) then I can look at getting the 50mm 1.8 II I believe, is that the one whihc works on FF or does the mark I as well?

Guys, so do you think the combo of the 24-105 and 70-200 2.8 would satisfy my range enough that, if i throw in a 50mm id be good.. OR... should I get a prime or two?
