I really shouldn't gripe about Laguna Seca, the sight lines for plenty of corners are wonderful. I just long for shooting through a photographers break in the fence, at the fence and not 10 feet away.

Absolutely worth the trip (no matter where you're coming from, really). Rennsport is held every 3 to 4 years, and the last two events have been at Laguna Seca. Prior to that, it's been on the east coast.
