Hi guys, ok, so i have been looking to upgrade from my 60D to the 6D and now is the time... however, i have a couple questions or concerns... Ok so I am one of those guys who use the Adorama Rovelight 600 as my main strobe when outdoors. Allowing me to achieve proper flash exposure even when at 4000s and above. Most of the time I can get where I need to be at 4000 SS. Now I find out that the 6D has a max sync speed of something liek 125? While thats ok, it has such a low max SS. I guess 4k isnt too bad and I wont be using it for fast sports but should i even concern myself with something the the 5DmII or III (would have to be a killer deal) I have wanted the 6D forever and seeing the results I have seen here, does anyone regret their 6D purchase if they could have gone with a 5dII/III? I dont think ill mind the lack of multi cross points, but why the low SS? max?

Thanks!!

I've been shooting a 6d for about a year and a half now, and can honestly say I have no regrets. Coming from a T2i, the low light performance and image quality absolutely blew me away. I've done a couple of corporate events, engagements and weddings in the time I've owned it, and I haven't been left wanting for more. You can always get around the slow sync speed by using ND filters, or HSS. I think you'll be very happy with it!

I think the way you want to use flash it will be at the upper limits of the 6D The max SS is 1/180. If I was in your shoes and could afford the 5DIII that's what I'd go for.

Love the 6D, but, I'm about to upgrade as the basic focusing system is def costing me shots, so a 5DIII is on it's way, a real shame as in every other way, the 6D is as much camera as I want/need.

Hi actually with how i plan on using it the max SS wouldn't play as much of a factor... (normally yes, I agree) if I plan on using it mostly for HSS then I can get up to 4000 (still low) but by then i would have killed most if not all ambient.... While i normally would like to have a max sync of 250 in case im just using flash for catchlights and not so much for ambient, sometimes i do want to use a large strobe at 1000, 2000 or 4000..that makes it tough, but still ean easier purchase then the mIII... :(

Thank you, that's actually what I'm usually doing, I was just little worried about how normal it is for 6d, and maybe somebody knows, on 5d situation is the same?

Thank you. I've rented the 6D twice for trips, and liked it so much I went out and bought one. I was shooting with a T4i before. I still have that camera and my wife uses it for her telephoto wildlife photography.

I just picked up the 16-35mm f4/L IS USM lens and those pictures I posted were some of the first I shot with the 6D/16-35 combo. I'm glad you enjoyed them. :)
