I realize this is late notice, but the museum is exploring the idea of doing this again the Saturday during the Oceana Show (Sept 10). Would anybody be interested in coming?

They'll have their newly acquired Messerschmidt bf109, as part of the event. I'll also have quite a few other aircraft to photograph throughout the night. Not sure what the lineup will be, but the museum has some magnificent aircraft to pick from.

Let me know and I'll relay if there's any interest.

Unfortunately I have a prior engagement on the 10th but if they're considering another weekend, certainly I'd be interested.

I really wish they'd do this on Friday night. The problem being, is that if you stay for the entire Oceana Airshow, it's really difficult if not impossible to get off base and to the MAM in time for the beginning of the night shoot.

Radial engines don't actually leak oil, by the way. They just mark their territory!

Traffic is a nightmare, but I got there with plenty of time to spare last year. Partially because I knew the back roads.

That being said, the event might be pushed back until the fall. This would work better for me since darker a little bit earlier.

I'll keep y'all posted.

Looks like it's going to happen again in late Oct, early Nov.

I'll be calling them to discuss the details on Monday. Looks like I'll be doing a basic instructional video, and doing an on-site "refresher" class as well.

Any interest?
